Cat and Mouse is a great way to work on puck control and protection blended with evasive skating. On defense you are challenged to take good angles, anticipate, and stick lift to strip the puck.
Description
First player retrieves loose puck and evades defender using the nets as protection. Defender tries to strip puck from partner. On whistle, puck carrier is free to attack the net, and defender is finished.
Agility & Quickness to evade with the puck and close on defense. Relevant to retrieval situations for D on breakout and F in offensive zone.
